SLB, a Simple Load Balancer monitors a set of servers via SNMP and selects those of them which are less loaded. The selection is based on server weights -- floating point numbers computed using a formula of arbitrary complexity supplied in the configuration file. This formula can refer to SNMP variables obtained from the server.

The result is formatted using a flexible output format string and written to a file, named pipe, or sent to an external process.

All parameters are supplied in the configuration file.
